The Witelon Center is a place that changes the perspective of seeing the world.

A place to popularize science and publicly available education. A meeting center for those who want to know more and see more. Interdisciplinarity is what we do BEST.

Explore the Witelon Center

The Witelon Center in the building of the former Riflemen’s House, later the Concert House and Summer Theater, has returned – in a new version – to the tradition of this place as a center for meetings, residents’ activities and exhibition spaces. The patron of the Center is Witelon, a 13th-century great mind of the era, philosopher and scientist, associated with Legnica and Lower Silesia. The scope of his scientific interests is the basis for the permanent exhibition as well as educational and laboratory classes.

We conduct educational activities that offer much more than the core curriculum for secondary schools in the field of mathematics, physics and chemistry. Specialized workshops in the field of science, bringing together school and university teachers. The official scientific patron of the Witelon Center is the Wrocław University of Science and Technology. We offer special, open lectures by Polish and foreign scientific authorities and scientific animators from other centers of science. The Witelon Center is a larger educational project that is ultimately intended to increase the job quality and the level of employment in the Copper Region. It  s addressed to secondary school students who should improve their competences before entering the labor market. We show the use of modern technologies in the region and the potential of the future, encouraging people to return after studies and pursue their professional careers in the Copper Region. The Witelon Center organizes scientific and business conferences, premieres and shows of new products from the world of science and business.
