This place connects science, education, culture and fun
We are the most modern institution in the Copper Region. The Center will be the only place in Poland showing the use of the achievements of the first Polish scientist – Witelon, whose thoughts and works were referred by Nicolaus Copernicus and Leonardo DaVinci. Witelon, born in Legnica, is the creator of the first “Treatise on Optics” in the history of science. The first main exhibition will be dedicated to our patron. EYE. Future Perspective. Check it!

Attractive location
The Witelon Center is located in the restored historic building of the Summer Theater, which is located in the heart of the city park in Legnica. The facility offers exhibition, educational and conference spaces, as well as catering and chill out zone. After visiting the exhibition, having fun and learning in our Center, you can go for a walk along the park alleys of the oldest park in the city, included in the register of monuments.
Easy and convenient access
The Witelon Center is located in the city park right in the city center. You can reach us from the Legnica Główna (Legnica Main) railway station in fifteen minutes. From the city bus stop at Plac Wilsona (Wilson Square) in Legnica it takes a 5-minute walk along beautiful park alley to The Witelon Center. There is also a car park right next to the facility. In case of rush hours, we offer parking at Stroma Street in Legnica (near the AquaFun Summer Swimming Pool) Tour buses can park at the City Stadium in the city park and in the car park at Stroma Street.
Accessible to everyone
The Witelon Center was created for everyone who likes good and wise recreation. Combined with getting to know new things and learning through play. We are open to everyone. For entire families, organized groups – school and commercial, groups of friends, all guests – the big and the small. The Witelon Center is also adapted to individuals with disabilities. We welcome all visitors with open arms. We believe that you will spend an unforgettable time with us.

Apart from exhibitions, education, LABO rooms, meetings with scientists and educators, you can simply relax, work on the terrace, as well as taste good food and beverages.
